Campagnolo Chorus 11 Ultra-Shift Ergopower Shifters are the Clark Kent of ergo levers. Behind the pedestrian name is a super-hero of a shifter. These levers don’t have the cutouts on the brake lever blades, but with that exception, these levers are identical to Record, and they’re a claimed 10g lighter than the previous generation.Chorus 11 Ergo shares the improved body material, a long-fiber reinforced polyamide that is lighter (this is where most of the 10g savings comes from), yet 8% stronger and able to withstand more than double the impact that the previous lever was able to take. It has the same ball-bearing shifting mechanism for super-smooth shifts. They’ve also improved the ratcheting mechanism in the right lever, along with tweaking the cable routing so the shifting is faster and the cable housing running under the hoods disappears under your hands. For the left lever, they’ve also improved the cable routing and optimized the mechanism for use with the new front derailleur design. Here, too, you’ll have a hard time noticing the housing as it transitions into the lever, and the improved position should make shifting both lighter feeling and faster. As with all Ultra-Shift levers, you can affect up to three cogs on the downshift and five cogs on the upshift for the rear derailleur, and you’ll have the precisely-indexed up and down sweep on the front derailleur. Also of note are the new graphics, conveying a bolder image, and that Campagnolo has designed accessory hoods and cable housing, in Red and White, that you can purchase if you want to make your levers even more distinctive. Enter the Campagnolo Super Record 11 4-Arm Crankset, a redesigned legend that’s coming back even lighter, stronger, and sleeker than past iterations. A few major changes set the new Super Record apart from its predecessor. Most obviously, the number of arms was reduced from five to four, which Campagnolo claims reduces weight while increasing torsional stiffness up to 12%. Certain areas of the arms have also seen metal swapped out in favor of carbon, and Campy also hollowed out the new arms as much as possible to reduce weight. The Super Record isn’t totally redesigned, though–why would it be? Syntace’s P6 Alloy Seat post is not just another post. With its highly adjustable head and a variety of sizes, you’ll be able to dial in your fit to perfection. The head of the Syntace P6 features its Extended Seat Adjustment that allows for a wide range of fore and aft adjustability. Additionally, the bottom piece of the seat clamp is a 52mm wide ERS base. By using this wider base, which sits asymmetrically upon the shaft, the rails of the saddle are given more support.
